Following its inaugural year in 2021, the Pointe’s Art Festival will return to The Hill municipal lot at 41 Kercheval from 10 am to 6 pm Saturday, Aug. 6, and Sunday, Aug. 7.
Featuring around 25 artists, admission is $5 for adults and free for kids.
“The Pointe’s Art Festival 2022 will feature local artists and artisans, live entertainment, food trucks, animal adoption, family fun and so much more,” said Rachele Wright, Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce director of social media, via email. “We have some returning artists from last year who were eager to participate again, as well as a large number of new vendors with incredible talents that we can’t wait to showcase to the community. We’ve added a few more family-friendly activities to help make this a fun event for all ages.”
New this year will be a Part of Your World Princesses event hosted by sponsor Charles Schwab — princesses will be available noon to 3 pm both days for meet and greets, as well as photos — and a selfie station.
Grosse Pointe Zoology will return with opportunities to meet and learn about some of its exotic animals, as will a Kids Art Tent put on by Posterity Gallery.

Alongside Atwater sponsoring and providing beer and seltzer, food truck offerings will include Ferlito’s Food Truck, Batter Up Waffle Company, Flavors Food Truck and Aruba Freeze.
Live entertainment will feature The KufflinKs, Anthony Retka, Uncle Brown and ME, Shattered, GG Music Entertainment, and Laurie and the Lefties.
“We are so excited we are able to continue this annual event after a successful first year with our Pointe’s Art Festival in 2021,” Wright said. “With over 3,000 attendees last year, we hope to bring in even more of the community and surrounding areas to see more of the incredible local talent we have here in the Pointes and beyond. Between our artists, entertainment, food trucks and kid-tent volunteers, we are so excited to host this weekend-long festival that attracts all ages and interests in the Pointes.”
All proceeds from admission to this year’s Pointe’s Art Festival will go toward a donation to Midwest Small Breed Rescue.
